About Camp Finder

Camp Finder is an unofficial, community-built directory of Scouts BSA resident summer camps operated by local councils across the country. It exists to solve one problem: there is no single place to discover camps you don't already know about.

How it works

We help you discover camps by location, program, and features, then link every listing straight to the council's own page. Session dates, fees, and availability change constantly, so we deliberately don't try to mirror them — the council site is always the authority. We are a directory and a pointer, never the source of record.

Where the data comes from

Camp and council records come from the Open Scout API, an open, versioned dataset of Scouting America reference data. Each listing carries the date its information was last verified; listings older than a year are flagged. Always confirm details on the official council page before you register.
